Aria offers a fresh take on horizontal blinds. Instead of traditional rigid slats, it uses soft, translucent fabric vanes that tilt to adjust light and privacy. Understanding Light Opacity

Fabric descriptions can vary by collection, but these terms generally indicate how much light passes through:

Sheer or semi-sheer:  Allows the most daylight through and gently softens it.

Light filtering: Diffuses daylight while providing more privacy than sheer fabric.

Room darkening: Blocks more incoming light for bedrooms, nurseries, and media rooms.

Blackout: Designed to block light through the fabric. Light may still enter around the edges unless the shade is paired with an appropriate light-blocking system or side channels. 

Operating Options

Depending on the brand, fabric, window, and configuration, honeycomb shades may be operated with:

Cordless lift: Gently raise or lower the shade by hand.

Cordless Lift & Lock™: Press the handle button to move the shade, then release to hold it in position.

Top-down/bottom-up: Lower the shade from the top, raise it from the bottom, or do both to balance daylight and privacy.

Continuous cord loop: A loop control for smooth operation, often useful for larger or heavier shades.

Wand or PowerWand™: Use a wand for manual or push-button operation, depending on the system.

Motorization: Operate compatible shades with a remote, app, or voice control.  Whole home integration available, add a Hub and Control them from anywhere in the world.
